- Why is it so much cheaper than a warehouse?
- Because we don't store your data — you do. Lakeloop writes Parquet/Iceberg straight into your own S3 bucket at raw AWS rates. We only charge for the managed connector and SQL endpoint, not per-GB storage or per-query compute.
- Do you ever see my data?
- We connect to your Postgres read-only and stream rows through the connector to your bucket. We keep a small materialized cache to power the SQL endpoint; the durable copy lives in your S3, which you control.
- What BI tools work?
- Anything that speaks SQL over a standard endpoint — Metabase, Superset, Hex, or plain DuckDB. On Scale, point Trino/Spark/Athena at the Iceberg catalog directly.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Manage or cancel from the in-app billing portal. Your Parquet stays in your bucket regardless — no lock-in.
